Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport

Upon arrival, you will be picked up from Kigali Airport by our Jackal Adventure guide/driver who will take you to your hotel for an overnight stay as you prepare for the next day adventure.

Day 2: Kigali City Tour & Road Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest(Rushaga Sector)

You will be picked up from hotel by our Jackal Adventure guide/driver who will take you for a half day Kigali City Tour before you depart to Bwindi via Chanika border. We shall have a couple of stop overs for bathroom breaks or supermarkets incase you need to pick a snack or coffee. On arrival at Chanika border you will be supported with clearance on both the Rwanda and Uganda immigration offices. You will also be supported to get a good forex rate incase you may need to get some Uganda Shillings. You will then be taken to the hotel in Bwindi. On arrival to Rushaga Gorilla lodge, you will check in and you rest to prepare for the gorilla trek the following day.

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest and Cross Boarder to Volcanoes National Park

Wake up early in the morning in Gorilla trekking attire as you will be advised by your guide, have breakfast and go for trekking which is a life time experience ever. The highlight of your safari is meeting with gentle giants of Bwindi especially hikers will love the trekking in the ecosystem of the park. The trek takes 2-3 hours depending on where you find Gorillas. Once you find the gorillas, you will spend one hour with them. Come back for lunch and checkout of lodge to cross the border to Volcanoes National Park.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Tracking in Volcanoes and Road Transfer to Kigali Airport for Departure

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will head out to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a golden monkey trekking experience. The trek will take you through lush forests and scenic landscapes as your experienced guides share their knowledge about the golden monkeys and the park’s diverse ecosystem. Upon finding the golden monkeys, you will spend an hour observing them.

Unlike the gorillas, golden monkeys are playful and quick, often engaging in hide and seek games. Once your trek is complete, you will head back to the lodge for a well-deserved rest and lunch. In the afternoon, you will begin your journey back to Kigali and then to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight.
