We shall cover Queen Elizabeth national park famously known for the big 5, Kazinga channel and the climbing tree lions. You cannot mention western Uganda without talking or visiting the Gorilla families in Bwindi impenetrable forest and we shall end our tour at Lake Mburo.
9-Day Best of Western Uganda Tour Highlights
Our Guide will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to the hotel, overnight at the lodge in Entebbe. In the morning 07:30 – 08:00 breakfast at the lodge 08:30. We embark on the long awaited journey to explore the best of western Uganda.

Depart Entebbe in the morning, arrive in Fort portal in the afternoon with lunch en-route. Make an evening nature walk, guided bird watching or engage with the local communities that kick off the 9-Day Best of Western Uganda Tour.
You will spend the night at the Turaco Treetops Lodge.

Start your day early in Kibale National Park. After a hearty breakfast, head out for a morning chimp tracking adventure. Guided by experienced park rangers, you will trek through lush forests, listening to the sounds of wildlife and searching for the playful and intelligent chimpanzees. This incredible experience offers a rare opportunity to observe these primates in their natural habitat.
After the chimp tracking, head back to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for its rich biodiversity and bird-watching opportunities. Take a guided walk through the swamp and engage with the local community, learning about their culture and way of life

After breakfast, embark on your journey from Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival at Queen Elizabeth, you can settle into your accommodation and head out for an afternoon boat cruise along kazinga channel.

Today, you will get up early for an experiential lion tracking activity combined with a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, and large herds of buffalo and antelopes. The backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains adds to the park’s dramatic scenery. After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast.
You will then head out in the evening for an evening game drive with an opportunity to see wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, and a variety of antelopes.

Begin your day early with a thrilling morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. As the sun rises, venture into the park’s rolling savannahs and lush meadows in search of diverse wildlife. Common sightings during the game drive include elephants, buffalo, antelopes, lions, and perhaps even a leopard or a herds of waterbucks. The early morning is the best time to spot active animals and enjoy the park’s vibrant wildlife scenes as they go about their day.
After your exciting game drive, depart from Queen Elizabeth and start your journey towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. winding through scenic landscapes, including the famous Ishasha sector, known for tree-climbing lions, and lush, green hills. As you travel, enjoy the changing scenery, and perhaps spot some local villages and farms along the way.

This day promises to be one of the most memorable of your 9-Day Uganda Western Tour. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. In small groups, you will set off into the dense forest with experienced guides to track a gorilla family. The trek can be challenging, with steep and muddy paths, but the reward is well worth the effort.
Upon finding the gorillas, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to spend an hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Watch as they play, feed, and interact, gaining insight into their daily lives. After this unforgettable encounter, return to the lodge for lunch and some rest. In the evening, visit the local Bakiga and Batwa communities to learn about their traditions and way of life.

Lake Mburo Safari Uganda
After your Breakfast your 9-Day Best of Western Uganda Tour guide will drive you towards Lake Mburo, It is the perfect destination to relax, boat ride at the lake, see wild life which often approach the lodge premises.
