Your guide will meet you at Entebbe International Airport for an introductory briefing, then transfer you to your accommodation in Entebbe, where you’ll settle in and rest after your flight. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon and prepare for the adventure ahead.

After an early breakfast, depart Entebbe and drive west toward Kibale National Park. Along the way, enjoy a memorable experience at the equator, stopping to stand on the line. Upon arrival at Kibale, check in, freshen up, and enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by the sights and sounds of the forest.

Rise at dawn for an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing. Set out with expert guides into the dense rainforest in search of the resident chimpanzee communities. Watch these fascinating primates swing through the canopy, forage, and interact as you spend up to an hour observing them in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and an afternoon at leisure, with an optional nature walk through the nearby forest trails.

After a relaxed breakfast, depart Kibale and transfer south to the home of the mountain gorillas.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy the scenic drive through rolling hills and tea plantations. Upon arrival, freshen up and settle in for the night in preparation for tomorrow’s trek.

Wake to an early breakfast, then head to the briefing station with your packed lunch for a pre-trek briefing. Hike through the jungle in search of the mountain gorillas. Once you sight them, you’ll spend up to one hour with these gentle giants, learning about their behavior and striking similarities to humankind.
After the trek, take time in the afternoon to explore the rich heritage and traditions of the Batwa people, who once lived in the forest. Return to the lodge for dinner.

Breakfast is served early so you can depart in good time for the journey to Kigali, Rwanda, for your onward flight. After breakfast and check-out, your guide transfers you across the border to Kigali International Airport.
