Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your Nairobi hotel.

After settling in, your guide will brief you on the itinerary ahead. The rest of the day is at your leisure; you can relax after your flight or explore the city’s highlights.

After breakfast, drive to Aberdare National Park. The park covers an area of 766 km² and forms part of the Aberdare Mountain Range. You will see a wide range of landscapes, including mountain peaks and their deep, V-shaped valleys intersected by streams, rivers, and waterfalls. You will have lunch at Aberdare Country Club and check into your hotel later. The hotel is modelled after Noah’s Ark and has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges that provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge. The animals come to you! You will have dinner and overnight at the Ark Hotel.

Spend a full day exploring the park. Enjoy game viewing from The Ark’s viewing decks, and take guided forest walks in the montane forest to spot the park’s bongo antelope, elephants, buffalo, and a variety of birdlife. You will have your second night at the Ark Hotel.

Drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. En route, you will have views of the plains and snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya. This conservancy contains two prominent sanctuaries, one for chimpanzees and another for rhinos.

Host to all the members of the Big Five, the conservancy has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any other Kenyan national park. It is one of only four private game conservancies in Kenya. At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy program, this conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. It is also the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya.

Enjoy full-day wildlife activities. You can take an early morning game drive to maximise your chances of spotting predators before they rest, followed by a visit to the chimpanzee sanctuary and the rhino sanctuary. You will commence the day with an early morning pick-up, followed by a scenic drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. This alkaline lake is globally acclaimed for its population of flamingoes. Lake Nakuru is now a sanctuary for rhinos.

However, it is the flamingoes that have always been the main attraction of this remarkable destination. On occasion, the lake hosts nearly 2 million flamingoes, creating a breathtakingly beautiful deep pink band along the lake’s shoreline.

Depart Naivasha early and head southwest through the Great Rift Valley to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Arriving in time for lunch at your camp, enjoy an afternoon game drive across the sweeping savannah plains.
