9-Day Tanzania Wildlife Safari Experience Serengeti Migration Tour

This 8-Day Tanzania Wildlife Safari immersion is just sufficient to witness the great wildebeest calving migration safari. This 9-Day Tanzania Wildlife Safari tour has been designed specifically to focus on following the migration trail during calving from December to April. The areas to be covered are Lake Ndutu and the Southern and Central areas of Serengeti National Park, where the majority of the wildebeest are usually found. A visit to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater is part of this safari as well.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

You will be picked up by a Jackal Adventures guide from Kilimanjaro International Airport. They will provide you with a short briefing about what to expect on your tour. Afterward, you will be taken to your accommodation to rest and prepare for your safari ahead.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

Early Morning Road Transfer to Tarangire National Park

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we’ll set off on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, where we’ll spend the entire day exploring the wildlife and landscapes on a thrilling game drive. Before the sun sets, we’ll go to your accommodation for dinner and have an overnight rest.

Tarangire National Park is one of the largest national parks in Tanzania, located in the Manyara region. This place is characterized by large herds of elephants, tree-climbing lions, and the fascinating baobab trees, also called the Tree of Life for the almost mythical powers that some cultures attach to it. This park is especially known for the Tarangire River, which flows all year round and is the only source of water for wild animals during dry seasons.

Day 3: Full Day in Tarangire National Park

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we’ll set off on a scenic full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park, where we’ll spend the entire day exploring the wildlife and landscapes on a thrilling game drive.

Day 4: Serengeti South- Ndutu Area

Drive to Serengeti National Park through the Ndutu Area

After breakfast, we will set off for the southern Serengeti for a half-day game drive. We will have lunch en route, then after fueling up, we will continue our game drive and spend the afternoon at the Ndutu Area.

A majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short grass plains from December to April. The area is usually heavily populated with elephants, birds, and resident game

Day 5: Ndutu Area Game Drive- Serengeti Central

After breakfast, you will enjoy a half-day game drive in the Ndutu Area. On this 9-Day Tanzania Wildlife Safari tour, you may go back to the camp for lunch. In the afternoon, we will set off for another game drive session at Serengeti National Park. Before the day ends, we will send you to your respective accommodation for dinner and a restful overnight stay.

In these areas, you will witness herds of wildebeest and zebra. Wildebeest calves can run minutes after they are born, and within 3 days, they are normally strong enough to keep up with the herd.

Day 6: Central Serengeti National Park

Adventure in Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we will proceed for a full day of game drives in the wilderness, tracking the great migration trails.

Our 9-Day Tanzania Wildlife Safari experienced driver/tour guide will provide you with interesting facts about this highly renowned event, which makes Tanzania a top safari destination in Africa. When the afternoon comes, we will drive you to the Central Serengeti in the Seronera area for the evening game drive. When the game drive ends, we will go to your camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater

You’ll start the day with an early breakfast before embarking on a Tanzania Wildlife Safari journey to the renowned Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, you’ll descend into the crater, reaching an elevation of 600 meters, where you’ll have the opportunity to witness a diverse range of wildlife. You will enjoy a picnic lunch within the crater, allowing us to continue our game drive until evening. Later, at the afternoon, we’ll drive you to your lodge where you can dine and spend the night

Day 8: Full Day in Ngorongoro Crater

You’ll start the day with an early breakfast before embarking on a full-day game drive in Ngorongoro Crater.

With its year-round water supply, Ngorongoro National Park supports a wide variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, elands, warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants. What makes this attraction famous is the dense population of predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which requires a trained eye to be spotted.

Day 9: Mto Wa Mbu- Departure

After breakfast, we will drive to Mto wa Mbu for a morning cultural tour and walking safari. We will have a sumptuous local lunch as we take in the stunning views hovering around us. An optional mountain biking activity can be arranged at an added cost. In the afternoon, we will head back to Arusha or to the airport for the drop-off.
